Singing Rudolph Card

Published by under Cards

Here is one of the cards we did in last month’s technique class. I saw a similar card on the display boards at Stampin’ Up!’s 2009 Convention. I don’t know who thought up the original concept.

Stamps: Four The Holidays, Northern Hearts
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Candy Cane Specialty DSP
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Multipurpose Glue, Stampin Dimensionals, Stamping Sponges, Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Swirls Scribbles Sizzlit Die, Heart to Heart Punch, 2” x 1 3/8” Oval Punch, 1 3/8” x 5/8” Oval Punch, 1 ¾” Circle Punch, ½” Circle Punch

Measurements:

Night of Navy: 5 ½” x 8 ½”
Bashful Blue: 4” x 5 ¼”
Whisper White: 4” x 2”
Real Red: scrap to punch out nose
Early Espresso: 3” x 3” for antlers (sizzlit die)
Crumb Cake: scrap to punch out belly (2” x 1 3/8” Oval) – cut in ½
Chocolate Chip: scrap to punch out body (1 ¾” circle), head (2” x 1 3/8” Oval) and hooves* (Heart to Heart punch)
Basic Black: scrap to punch out mouth (1 3/8” x 5/8” Oval)
Candy Cane Specialty DSP: 2” x 1 ¼” for hymnal
Ribbon: 5”

*For the hooves, I used the wider, right-hand heart from the Heart To Heart punch. I cut off each top of the heart to get two hooves and then I cut a little triangle groove out of each.

Thanksgiving Gratitude

Published by under Cards

I just love this stamp set! The beautiful flower and leaf designs in rich autumn colors make this card a picture perfect Thanksgiving greeting. Paper: Cajun Craze, Naturals Ivory, Old Olive, Autumn Spice Specialty DSP
Ink: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Old Olive
Accessories: Stampin Dimensionals, Color Spritzer Tool, Distressing Essentials, Linen Thread, Mat Pack, Paper-Piercing Tool

I’m going to be offline tomorrow enjoying Thanksgiving with my family so I wanted to take a moment today and express my thanks to my blog readers and customers. I am very thankful to be part of the stamping community and all of the wonderful, inspiring people I get to associate with. Papercrafting has really enriched my life in ways I could never have imagined.

So a huge thanks to each and every one of you. May the blessings of this Thanksgiving fill your hearts and home!

Trick or Treat Shadow Box

Published by under Stampin'

This shadow box was created using the Trick or Treat letterpress plate. Letterpress plates add a whole new dimension to your stamping projects. You can use these plates with the Big Shot machine to add an ink debossed look to cards, invitations, accents for scrapbook pages, home décor, and more. This Trick or Treat plate gives you a nice bold and taunting option for a banner or greeting that coordinates with the 1800s London Halloween suite of products.

Watch Stampin’ Up! facilitator, Shannon West, demonstrate how to use letterpress plates…
