Singing Rudolph Card

Published by at 6:49 pm under Cards

Here is one of the cards we did in last month’s technique class. I saw a similar card on the display boards at Stampin’ Up!’s 2009 Convention. I don’t know who thought up the original concept.

Stamps: Four The Holidays, Northern Hearts
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Candy Cane Specialty DSP
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Multipurpose Glue, Stampin Dimensionals, Stamping Sponges, Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Swirls Scribbles Sizzlit Die, Heart to Heart Punch, 2” x 1 3/8” Oval Punch, 1 3/8” x 5/8” Oval Punch, 1 ¾” Circle Punch, ½” Circle Punch

Measurements:

Night of Navy: 5 ½” x 8 ½”
Bashful Blue: 4” x 5 ¼”
Whisper White: 4” x 2”
Real Red: scrap to punch out nose
Early Espresso: 3” x 3” for antlers (sizzlit die)
Crumb Cake: scrap to punch out belly (2” x 1 3/8” Oval) – cut in ½
Chocolate Chip: scrap to punch out body (1 ¾” circle), head (2” x 1 3/8” Oval) and hooves* (Heart to Heart punch)
Basic Black: scrap to punch out mouth (1 3/8” x 5/8” Oval)
Candy Cane Specialty DSP: 2” x 1 ¼” for hymnal
Ribbon: 5”

*For the hooves, I used the wider, right-hand heart from the Heart To Heart punch. I cut off each top of the heart to get two hooves and then I cut a little triangle groove out of each.

    Stephanie,
I have been searching high and low all night looking for detailed instructions for this wonderful work of punch art. NOT because it’s hard to duplicate; I’m just confused by the “body” or shall I say, lack there of… Could you explain to me the bottom half of our singing reindeer? Please? Thanks for posting such great instructions and dimensions!
    Hugs,

Thank you so much for sharing the above card. I’m afraid I’m hoping to copy it for my youngest nephew this coming Christmas. You’ve made me so happy!!!!!
